Chemin du
futur

It is estimated that at least 30,000 boys are homeless in the entire region of Dakar, the capital of Senegal. According to the UN, this is the largest phenomenon of street children in the world.

To help change the lives of these youngsters, a group of volunteers set up the Chemin du Futur orphanage, a home that offers affection and education.

Fraternity without Borders has supported the project since 2016, and today the orphanage is maintained by sponsors who contribute monthly to the cause.

The routine is one of discipline and, in addition to school and health care, it includes music, sports, and work training.

We cultivated a vegetable garden on site and, in 2017, we implemented a poultry farm, with the goal of making the project self-sustainable and transform poultry farming into vocational training for young people.

We are working together so that profitable activities like this one prosper and help take in more street kids.
